Perth and Kinross Council and its partners, Culture Perth and Kinross, are embarking on an exciting programme of capital developments to enhance and develop the cultural offer within the region. The proposed £20m redevelopment of the Perth City Hall with its central location in the heart of the City will deliver a world-class visitor experience attracting a significant uplift in visitors to the area from across Scotland, the UK and internationally which will contribute to the growth of the regional economy.

A competitive interview procedure to appoint an architect for the project is being managed by RIAS Consultancy from The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland. The architect appointment will be procured and delivered through the hub East Central Scotland Ltd (hubco) framework.

The architect will be required to include sub consultants in specialist disciplines but the principal design team disciplines of Civil/ Structural Engineer, Services Engineer and Principal Designer will be appointed directly by hubco from their current supply chain.

The City Hall development will capitalise on other developments within the wider Tayside region including the V&A and Waterfront developments in Dundee.

The ‘Restricted Procedure’ will shortlist five practices to tender for the commission. Requests to participate by receiving full documentation should be made by email to Charlene Rankin, RIAS Consultancy;

The closing date for receipt of the Pre-Qualification Questionnaires is 13 March 2017.
