RIAS Accreditation - Conservation and Sustainability
An accreditation scheme in Sustainable Architecture is available to RIAS members and a scheme in Conservation Architecture is available to both RIAS and non-RIAS members. Full details of these schemes - including how to apply and a list of those members already accredited - can be obtained by contacting the RIAS Practice team or from the RIAS website.
RIAS Energy Design Certification (The Scheme)
The Scheme received Ministerial Approval on 21 August 2007 and was actively launched on 1 October 2007. It is now approving Certifiers of Design who are entitled to issue Certificates of Design. The Scheme also allows members to produce and register Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) within the same quality assurance environment. All architects who are registered with ARB and all members of the CIAT who are MCIAT or TCIAT and wish to be able to certify that their designs comply with Section 6 Energy (Domestic) of the Scottish Building Regulations are entitled to apply to join the scheme. Full details of the scheme are available from our website.
