We are looking for designers with the following specific expertise:

an interest enthusiasm for detailed design and materials. We are looking for someone with extensive technical knowledge and willing to develop greater expertise in construction techniques. We base our detailed design work on evidence based design principles, enthusiasm or experience of this type of working would be beneficial. The project work envisaged is across a range of innovative new build, retrofit and Hab-Lab projects.

a background in M&E / services design. Familiarity with domestic heating, ventilation and communications is essential together with requisite understanding of the legislative requirements for each. Specific consideration in the needs of domestic scale is essential. This is to assist or architecture, retrofit and Hab-lab projects.

An interest and enthusiasm for health & safety in construction. We are looking for someone with a good understanding of CDM2015 regulations and ability to develop information for a variety of new build, self build, conservation and retrofit projects.

The exact offer is dependent on the person and skills offered, we expect applications from a range of people with technical design background. You will be working on projects from small, complex conservation work through to large-scale housing projects. Multi-tasking, flexibility and attention to detail are key personal attributes. You will be adept at leading your own projects and working as part of our larger team.

An enthusiasm for housing, community development, ecological design and retrofit are all desirable and beneficial. We support our staff in aspirations for RIAS sustainable design and other accreditations. We use ArchiCAD software and will support the successful applicant in becoming proficient in its use. We operate to ISO9001, ISO18001 and ISO45001 standards.

The successful candidate will be based in our Glasgow studio. We invite applications suitably qualified people with technical design background. We will consider architects, recent graduates, technicians and other associated disciplines. A full, clean UK driving license is desirable. Salary is dependent on experience and is reviewed annually.
