Permanent and pensionable appointment. Full time post (37 hours per week).

The Senior Architectural Technician (SAT) post lies within the Conservation Directorate Estates Unit North Region, based at Fort George, Ardersier, Inverness. It is one of three similar posts across Scotland and is central to the delivery of national initiatives in support of works at those scheduled monuments in the care of Scottish Ministers.

This post will report directly to the Head of Conservation, North, and takes an overview of the 3 Architectural Technicians within the North Region. Each Technician is assigned to a geographic area, supporting each other as required, with the day to day workload directed by the District Architect. The role also forms part of a management group charged with coordinating and delivering the Annual Conservation Works Program as well as a number of National initiatives and will work across all teams in Conservation to assist in delivery of Conservation Works and with co-ordinating existing and developing digital systems within the Conservation Directorate, helping to deliver the vision for digital data management.
