Oberlanders is a well-established, multi-award winning architectural practice, based in central Edinburgh and handling projects throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

We are currently seeking an experienced administrator to join our business support team and to contribute towards the ongoing growth an expansion of the practice. This vacancy is being created, partly by the retirement of an existing staff member, but also as an opportunity to grow and expand our existing business support team.

This is a full-time position providing administrative support to the practice, PA support to the Partners as well as maintaining our existing office quality management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001). Our quality management systems are scheduled to be updated to the latest standards during the first half of 2018, therefore the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with our external consultants and to manage the process of implementing the new standards.

The position will sit alongside our other existing business support functions which include Finance, Graphics, Marketing and Bid Management. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively as part of this existing team and to provide support and assistance across all business support functions as and when required.

This role will be well suited to an experienced administrator with a demonstrable track record of performing business administration in a team environment as well as PA support functions to senior management. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively as a team as well as under their own initiative. They will also need excellent IT skills; experience in MS office – in particular Word, Excel and Powerpoint is essential. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software would be an advantage. Knowledge of and experience in managing QA systems would be desirable however this is not essential as our existing systems are already well-established, with support from an external consultancy advisor in place.
