The proposed development comprises a new build budget hotel, student housing and retail. The design solution establishes a strong building line along Goosecroft Road. A common language of detailing and form is applied to the various buildings to provide a coherent design and architectural character. The external material specification reflects those commonly found within the Old Town Conservation Area. External materials will include a mixture of natural buff sandstone panels with aluminium flat panels mounted within a rainscreen system. The proposals will transform this under utilised brownfield site into a high profile development enhancing the Stirling townscape.
