Craigforth Masterplan

Unit 5 Architects Ltd

Our study for the master planning for this project addressed this sensitive site and its surrounding area of Stirling castle, the Forth River, crag and carse.

Our mixed use proposal included designs for a commercial area including 2 hotels, restaurant, Petrol station, a business park, conversion of a listed building into housing and a mix of residential new build housing. Environmental impact was taken into consideration when designing traffic routes, noise levels, the existing ecology, pollution, contamination and waste during the construction process. We consulted with various agencies such as Planning, Historic Scotland, SEPA, Ecologists, Flood Specialists, Traffic Consultants, Landscape Architects and Planning Consultants throughout the process.

Our proposals assessed the environment and sustainability of new technologies, urban drainage, waste disposal and issues and impacts on the built environment.

We consulted Energy specialists with a view to detailing the requirement for low carbon buildings, future energy requirements and improving standards in buildings spaces and climate control with the integration of renewable energy.

This Planning Application has now been granted.
