The design of this extension follows visual leads from the existing 1959 bungalow; white roughcast and smooth render, identically pitched slate roofs and angles matching the bay windows but other forms and surfaces contrast: a wavy turf roof, vertical larch cladding and varying floor and roof levels.
The curved turf roof and angled wall surfaces all serve to break up the form, minimise its visual impact and ensure that it fits seamlessly into the existing township.
