Flanders Moss Viewing Tower

Robin Baker Architects

Flanders Moss NNR, on the Carse of Stirling, is one of the largest and most important areas of raised bog in the UK. Scottish Natural Heritage balance the need to maintain this fragile habitat with the needs of visitors. The new viewing tower enables visitors to appreciate the scale and spectacular views over the moss. The tower is revealed through the birch woodland. It is constructed in green oak, with some posts over 8m long.
