New Housing Development at Castle Park, Irvine

Robert Potter & Partners LLP

This social housing development consists of 23 dwellings including a mixture of 2 bedroom amenity bungalows with 2, 3 and 4 bedroom general needs two storey dwellings, designed to suit the requirements of varying family groups.

The palette of materials - blue/grey and buff coloured brick, white wet dash render, grey windows - and the extensive use of lead roofed rectilinear bay windows combine to create an ordered streetscape with excellent surveillance to front and rear areas. The development is complemented by well maintained landscaped amenity areas to the south and the east.
