M20 Cycle-Foot Bridge

Kent Highways wished to provide a link from Ashford city centre to new developments on the other side of the M20. In partnership with Jacobs, Nicoll Russell Studios conceived the crossing's concept and provided aesthetic and contextual advice for this civil engineering project. The Studios were responsible for preparing drawings, multimedia visualisations and animations for public consultation during the planning process. The completed cycle and pedestrian bridge has improved linkages northwards and has created a designed landmark or gateway to Ashford, which reinforces a positive image of the city while creating a memorable destination and journey.
