The house is in the form of a barn on the edge of a pond, with balconies, it appears to float and has magnificent mountains views of Glenshee. The full height living space with kitchen and wood burner are the winter heart of the home. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs and a central spiral staircase to the master bedroom and further bedroom cum study. The house is heated by a ground source heat pump with pond water drawing heat from the pond as well as the water supply, and solar thermal collectors. The house is framed construction with Douglas fir cladding and a slate roof. A garage with guest accommodation has recently been completed.
