Holmes Miller was Architect and Design Team Leader for the project which saw the transformation of Hampden Park into a world class Athletics venue that was the centrepiece of the XX Commonwealth Games, held in Glasgow in 2014.
Hampden was transformed by the installation of a temporary 400 metre running track and infield, constructed on a structural platform suspended above the level of the existing football pitch.
The adjacent facility at Lesser Hampden, was also temporarily upgraded to provide a warm up area for track and field athletes.
After the Games, the temporary facilities were removed and existing facilities reinstated.
