Originally the home farm to Castle Menzies this B - Listed Steading was in a ruinous state. The owner wanted to rescue the building before it was too late and came up with the idea of converting it into a new world wine centre with shop and cafe. Externally the building was sensitively restored. Internally however the approach was different. A modern approach enabled us to design out problems in the construction of the original roof and provide an elegant and interesting roof construction. The project received a Highly Commended in the APRS awards for 2000.
