This project is the renovation and extension of a Victorian lodge near Selkirk. The property was provided with a contemporary kitchen, bathroom and en suite as well as upgrading the insulation, damp proofing and windows. Solar panels and a ground source heat pump were installed. The second phase was a garden room which replaced an existing utility room and created an additional living space with french doors. The extension used stone from the demolished existing building and a small amount of cedar cladding. The interior opens up to the apex of the roof to create a generous sense of space.
