Bridge of Muick Cottage

GGS Architect

Existing cottage on the banks of the River Muick Ballater converted and enlarged to form a Family dwelling previously used as a holiday let, including the demolition of a previous 1970'2 extension. The timber framed extension contemporary in appearance responds to the original cottage and rural aspect. Sliding doors separate the 'summer' Family Room from the 'winter' Study with feature windows providing views over the river to the Grampian Mountains. In addition a new Garage replaced a dilapidated store using the same palette of materials as used on the house extension.
