The existing bothies and buildings of the Walled Garden are located on either side of and along the length of the North wall. Planners agreed the new cheme will be a 'Heritage Assett' application. Three new houses will be built on the footprint of the existing buildings to meet the requirements of the Code For Sustainable Homes, level 6 and will include renewable technologies such as, solar panels, ground source heat pumps, whole house ventilation and rainwater harvesting. Whilst the design will interpret the essential style and character it will also embody contemporary elements and internal spaces to be a reflection of its time.
