North East Scotland College Overclad

BPA Architecture

The unloved ten storey Gallowgate Centre built in 1964 on an exposed site was looking its age and with single glazed original windows and virtually no wall insulation was increasingly expensive to heat and maintain. The transformational overcladding to make it look and perform like a new building was carried out while to building remained occupied and fully operational. The project was awarded an Aberdeen Civic Society Commendation in October 2015.
