The Bunkhouse and Way Inn are the first phase of the reconstruction of the famous Kingshouse Hotel, providing 32 bed spaces and good refreshments. The sensitivity of the design was key to gaining Planning Approval in this iconic landscape, situated at the edge of Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe. Steep roof pitch, narrow building width and vernacular materials give a sympathetic scale and responds to the historic site. The Way Inn is a temporary adaptation of an existing staff block, using off cuts and waste material from the Bunkhouse, reusing furniture and other fittings from the hotel.
