The TIC development encompasses a masterplan of the City Science site and two initial buildings. The TIC building seeks to bridge the gap between academia and industry providing an environment to stimulate collaboration and innovation, bringing together world class research themes and activities of the University. The sister Industry Engagement Building (IEB) provides shell space for industry partners active in associated knowledge exchange and research. The strategic aim is to integrate the development with the university campus whilst reinforcing links to the city civic and cultural core. TIC aspires to become the physical embodiment of a world-leading technological university.
