Scotland's largest Millennium funded project is recognised as being the catalyst for the regeneration of the surrounding area at Pacific Quay on the banks of the Clyde. Three distinct buildings comprise the GSC - the Science Mall, IMAX and the Glasgow Tower. Titanium was selected as the cladding for the external skin of the Science Mall and IMAX Theatre; the first time this extraordinary metal has been used as a cladding material in the UK. With context and sustainability high on the agenda, river cooling was incorporated within the building. These are machines for learning in ... and having fun!
