This contemporary farmhouse draws on North Ayrshires rural vernacular to create a building that reflects the identity of the area. The main functions are contained within a cluster, referencing the traditional forms of local farm buildings.
There are three separate elements; two-storeys containing the main living spaces, bedrooms and utility spaces, a linear single-storey containing the master bedroom and an annex, with two bedrooms and a shower room, accessed via the courtyard. An outbuilding completes the cluster. The individual zinc- clad elements form around a three-sided courtyard to the east and a sheltered terrace to the southwest.
