Plashmill Visitor and Education Centre

AMCA Architects

The Plashmill is what remains of the Industrial Weaving heritage of Letham in Angus. The proposal was to enhance and preserve the mill and adjoining buildings. This was to be achieved by creating additional spaces within an energy efficient and sustainable shell which will wrap around the existing to protect the old stone structure. The main attraction of the mill would have been the main exhibition spaces that would hold exhibits providing a facility to teach local school and communities about energy as well as the history of the local area.
