Larbert Loch Viewing Pavilion

AMCA Architects

NHS Forth Valley wanted to revitalise the green space in the hospital grounds for the health and wellbeing of its users and visitors. The brief was to provide a facility for a public community viewing shelter on the bank of Larbert Loch where it had to incorporate the surrounding pathways and views around the area. The shelter had to comprise of open and closed spaces offering a place of shelter away from the busy hospital grounds and local town. The small sanctuary could be used by staff, patients and local community members as an area of respite and contemplation.
