The joint programmes in Architecture are based at two sites, in the University's School of Arts, Culture and Environment (ACE) in Chambers Street and at ECA in Lauriston Place. They draw on the excellent facilities of the two parent institutions. These include design studios, extensive and well-equipped workshops, excellent libraries, continually upgraded computer facilities and dedicated rooms for research students.

The City of Edinburgh is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers a rich and dramatic context in which to study architecture. The distinctive character of the School draws upon the international reputations of a major, research-intensive, University and an historic multi-disciplinary Art School.

Validated degree programmes at both ARB/RIBA Part 1 and Part 2 offer flexible pathways for the student. In addition, there are non-accredited degrees in Architectural History and Architecture in Creative and Cultural Environments.
