About the project

Modest in scale, with traditional stone detailing and sash & case windows, this extensively glazed extension provides a sitting room that seems spacious by its relating more openly to the surrounding garden, and provides panoramic views across the wider landscape of fields and rolling hills, contrasting with the more closed fenestration of other rooms within this existing house. A fireplace has been incorporated into the gable wall, and some care has been taken over the interior joinery details of open roof trusses, slender integrated bookcases within piers, window seats, and beaded panelling to the ceiling and walls.
