About the project

This proposal involved the addition of a new extension and opening up the back of a traditional terraced house in Glasgow's west end. A new relatively large living and kitchen space was formed to the back of the house. This was achieved by removing most of the back wall of the house to link an enlarged kitchen to a new living space in the extension. The previous kitchen was reconfigured to become utility and toilet in the centre of the house. The extension is a simple and relatively modern structure which opens out into the garden via large doors, roof-lights and a new terrace were also added to link to the garden.
