About the project
This project involved modernizing an existing 1960's extension to the rear of a mid-terraced house in Edinburgh. The existing extension was two stories tall, a garage with a living room above. The extension had a slate pitched roof, which limited headroom in the upper floor. The garage had a very low ceiling and was only used for storage. The new extension raised the ceiling and turned the garage into a garden room with split level kitchen / dining room above. The building was clad using Trespa panels, which allows insulation to be mounted outside the building, saving space inside.
