Submissions open: Friday 4th June 2021
Deadline for submissions: midnight, Tuesday 15th June 2021
The RIAS has launched an open call inviting submissions for their event LISTEN, as part of the 2021 Architecture Fringe.
LISTEN is a collaborative and interactive event to gather voices on architecture and explore the role of the professional body in Scotland today.
LISTEN will create the space for inspiring conversation to consider new ways of looking at the priorities for architecture in Scotland and explore the (un)learning agenda to reflect on what a professional body should be in the 21st Century.
The event is an open call for up to 30-word sound bites, text submissions or video responses and it open to anyone to take part. The submissions will be collated and shared via a virtual screening on Friday 18th June 2021.
For inspiration, take a look at the introduction from RIAS President Christina Gaiger below, alongside a series of provocations (videos below or click the links for pdf versions) from Christina Gaiger, Alan Jones PRIBA, Fionn Stevenson, Crumble Magazine and Student Member Kayleigh-Ann Cull.
Submissions could relate to an area of personal interest or be a more general provocation about architecture in Scotland and the role of the professional body. The sound bites and video can be very informal - it is meant to be accessible, quick and easy to do, as opposed to staged.
Responses can be submitted as a text, audio or video file (in whatever file format works best for you) via the online submission form and can be up to 30 words.
