RIAS Architects + Practices

Whatever the size of your building project, it makes sense to consult a professional. Architects offer unrivalled training and experience in the design and construction of buildings.

Directory of Architects + Practices provides information on over 570 practices across Scotland, advice on working with your architect and the new Need Inspiration section which gives examples of recently completed projects.

Consultancy provides an impartial and multi-disciplinary source of advice to clients of the construction industry consistent with their level of knowledge and experience of construction procurement.

The Competitions Service (now managed by RIAS Consultancy) offers a long established means of building procurement, providing a full service, including briefing, conditions, procedures and nominations for judging, and dealing with applications and entries.

The Clients Advisory Service can help you to select an architect for your project, from extensions through to large-scale building developments.

Conservation Accreditation is awarded to certain individual members whose skills and experience in conservation architecture have been assessed by their peers and deemed of a high standard.  Conservation Architecture Accredited members may act as lead professionals on projects receiving grant aid from Historic Scotland and other publicly funded bodies.

Having problems?
For members of the public who are having problems with their architect, or are looking for advice on dispute resolution the RIAS has produced a Dispute Guidance Leaflet
